Vista del Caribe
Our family spent a fabulous week at the Vista del Caribe. This home overlooks the spectacular waters of the Caribe separated by only an ocean-side walkway. The water's waves crash a few steps from Vista del Caribe's windows, and the night sky spans for miles, providing a spectacular showing of stars and moon. Vista del Caribe is simple and beautiful; it was designed with loving care. Its location provided for us the opportunity to walk and not rent a vehicle--a bonus for our family! Vista del Caribe is a home we hope to enjoy again. We recommend this wonderful space if you love the Caribe and look toward a change of pace from TV and computers! We look forward to our next visit.
Warmly, Jim , Rita, Drew and Ian

La Caribella
Hola,
If anyone is looking for a great place in downtown Isla Mujeres, my partner and I just stayed at La Caribella which just opened in Dec 2008. Its perfectly located just out of the busy part of town but close to everything, beaches, main grocery store, town center. The best part is its quiet, has a roof top terrace and the most beautiful breeze. It stays cool all the time. There are different size rooms and the rates are very affordable, from $30 to $50 a night. Our apartment was big, 2 rooms, large kitchen and a view of the ocean. A lovely woman named Gladys Galdamez just opened it up. She was a dream to deal with. She took excellent care of us. Very professional and friendly. You can contact her through her email www.islabudgetrentals.com

La Caribella
"We are back to reality here in Winterpeg, -14 with the windchill rite now. The sun is shining, but the white stuff is not sand, just SNOW! We had a wonderful stay at La Caribella thru www.islabugetrentals.com. Gladys is super lovely lady and I would not hesitate to recommend this spot to stay, quiet, kitchen facilities and a nice roof top garden area. A hop, skip and a jump from La Lomita, especially handy on a rainy day. We were rite next door to the Navy store for those all important liquid supplies! Cant have my room though, cause I already booked for next year

Vista del Caribe
If you want to wake up everyday to the sunrise over the ocean, huge open windows with a soft breeze from the water, and take yourself back to the world before technology, this is the place for you. Vista del Caribe is located in a great spot on Isla and is in very short walking distance to everything on the north side of the island. You can hang out on the patio, downstairs of house, bedrooms, and the roof and enjoy great views from any part of the house. Great location, breathtaking views, comfortable, very spacious, and a great island feel. We will be going back to Isla Mujeres and spending our time at Vista del Caribe.

Vacation was wonderful. The hotel was very very clean. The furnishings were nice, towels and sheets were of better quality than we've had at other hotels The only thing that was a bit off was the bathrooms weren't completely done. Our overhead light fixture was sitting on top of the shower, the light above the sink was a hole in the wall with wires hanging out, and there was another random hole in the wall as well. The bedside tables could also use a reading lamp and an alarm clock. If the bathrooms were finished and a few other touches added it will become a gem for the price range that it is in for Isla. Deacon Salamay was wonderful. We will absolutely keep the hotel in mind for future visits. I'm sure we will catch you on the next visit. I visited Josefina at her spa and that was a wonderful experience as well. Thanks again for all of your help! LynnLynn Beverly McNeill

I just wanted to provide you with some feedback on this hotel where we stayed from 23 to 30 January.
We found it very pleasant and well located and unbelievably clean. I wonder if perhaps they could have been a little better prepared for us, as we had to ask for towels and later a light for reading at night. The only problem we really had was that when we arrived there was no hot water and this did not finally get fixed until our third day (as Sunday was our second). While it was a little inconvenient, however "cold" water in Mexico is not nearly as cold as cold water in Massachusetts in winter, so it did not really inconvenience us that much. I think the hotel would benefit from a few minor touches here and there such as coffee makers, bediside lamps and perhaps safes, although I have to say I never felt remotely unsafe in or anywhere near this hotel. One aspect of this hotel that particularly impressed me was the ability of the housekeeper to almost invisibly clean our room. We have traveled extensively in Europe, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and the United States, but never before could we ever say that during a week long stay we were never disturbed once by or walked in on the housekeepers cleaning our room. Given the location and the value for money, it astounded me that there were so few rooms occupied.
The manager was always very cheerful and pleasant as were the young man and young lady who shared reception duty.
I would love to share my experience at the hotel with others via a Tripadvisor review, but Paraiso is not set up on this site and I don't know how to accomplish this. Overall what I loved about Paraiso most of all was - it was real and the people who work there are so friendly despite the fact we speak very different languages.Duncan H
